How do you add offline payments to an existing payment system, PSP or CBDC platform?

This breakout moves from the concept of Governed Offline to practical implementation. We follow a payment from start to finish: how offline capacity is prepared while the user is online; how a payment is made and verified when both sides are offline; and what happens when devices reconnect and the payment is settled.

We examine the components required in the wallet, on the receiving side and in the existing payment system, together with requirements for security, risk mitigation, policy and operations.
