Stephen is Principal Architect in the Bank of England’s payments innovation and fintech division. He leads on policy design choices related to technology for the design phase of the Digital Pound project, and for the UK’s next generation retail payment system. Prior to joining the Bank, he held various private sector roles including Head of Data & Machine Learning Architecture at one of the UK’s largest commercial banks.
